If you’re interested in studying in France as a Pakistani student, there are two main pathways to apply for higher education: directly through university portals or via the Campus France platform.
1. Application Through University Portals

You can apply directly to the French universities or institutions of your choice. Each institution will have its own specific requirements, deadlines, and application processes. This method allows you to apply for both Bachelor’s and Master’s programs across various disciplines.
2. Application Through Campus France

The “Etudes en France – EEF” (Study in France) platform provides thorough guidance and support for students throughout the admission process, from application to enrollment. It also enables applicants to apply for their visas online and monitor their application’s progress. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply:
- Browse Programs: Browse Programs: Explore the online catalogue on the Campus France website to shortlist degree programs you wish to apply for.
- Create an Account: Create an account on the Études en France platform and complete your profile. After submitting, you will receive an email with instructions to set your password. Make sure to note your Campus France Registration Number (EEF Number).
- Fill in Details: Visit the Campus France website and click on “Login.” Enter your username and the password you set up. (click on this to get intro website directly “Campus France Login Link” )
- Apply as a Candidate: Choose the option “I am a candidate” to start your application for French institutions through the portal.
- Complete Your Profile: Enter your personal information, academic history, language skills, and CV/SOP. Upload the required documents such as your CV, photograph, passport, and academic records.
- Select Programs: Browse and choose the degree programs you want to apply for through the portal. Apply to up to seven programs (for Master’s) or three programs (for Bachelor’s) via the platform. The application also includes submitting required documents like your passport, academic transcripts, and proof of French language proficiency.
- Submit Motivation Letters: Write and submit a motivation letter for each program you are applying to. Each letter should be submitted separately.
- Advisor Review: Wait for a Campus France advisor to review your application. They will schedule an appointment with you if needed. Be prepared to provide any additional information or make corrections if requested. Once your application is complete, you’ll undergo an interview with Campus France representatives.
- Pay Fees: Pay the registration fee of PKR 30,000. You can pay online or make a deposit at Askari Bank.

Do mention your EEF number otherwise your payment will not be identified. Once paid, update your payment information on EEF portal in the section: Declare your payment. After validation, email the deposit slip at: cooperation.islamabad-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr . Rename the slip as “EEF/FULLNAME/EEF Applicant Number” before sending.

Step 2. The Academic Interview
- Schedule Your Interview: The Campus France office will reach out to arrange your academic interview.
- Prepare for the Interview: Attend the interview either online or in person with the Campus France Manager. Be prepared to discuss your motivation for studying in France and your chosen institution.
- Document Verification: Bring all required documents (both originals and photocopies) along with your Campus France fee payment receipt. The photocopies will be checked against the originals.
Step 3. Confirmation and Visa Procedure
- Receive University Responses: After your file is reviewed and validated by a Campus France Manager, you will begin receiving responses from universities.
- Make Your Choice: Decide which university you want to attend.
- Start Visa Application: Once you receive your acceptance letter, print the “Accord Préalable d’Inscription” and initiate your visa application process.
Step 4. Confirmation and Visa Procedure
- Prepare Documents: Review the list of documents required for your visa application.
- Complete Application: Fill out your application on the France-Visas portal (https://france-visas.gouv.fr/).
- Schedule Appointment:
- For Pakistanis: Schedule an appointment with AEG French Visa Service (https://frenchvisa.aeg.com.pk). Note that all visa applicants must register their biometric data in person at the French Embassy.
- For Indians: Schedule an appointment with VFS – France through the France Visa portal. All visa applicants must also register their biometric data in person at the VFS centers.
